beau maguire

writer, comedian, and aspiring gorgeous person

Beau Maguire was born in Philadelphia and raised there, too. He went to Harvard but doesn’t like to talk about it (Harvard, where he went). He writes about the human body, genealogy, and navigating the American medical system, and he also is at the root of those filthy chain text messages that go around every holiday. The clever ones, at least.

His comedy has been featured in Slackjaw, Sketchfest Chicago, Bentwood Festival, Out of Bounds Festival, DC Sketchfest, and Philly Sketchfest. He has participated in writing residencies and workshops at StoryStudio Chicago and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and he is an inaugural fellow for StoryStudio Chicago and Lookingglass Theater’s Write Where You Are Fellowship. He will participate in the 2026 Sewanee Writers’ Conference.
